Students often tell me that my passion for what I teach is obvious.  My role is to create a learner-centered environment where students access excellent technical information, research innovative approaches to making, and consider controversial opinions for an inspiring classroom culture of inquiry.  Within this setting, I coach students to develop their own voice and style. 

Over the past 15 years, I have designed and taught a range of courses including: visual culture, design history, 20thC art history, writing, fashion history, textile structures, sustainable design and basic design.  

My students have garnered national and international recognition for their work, competing as finalists, winning prizes, and being featured in exhibitions.
